Since my 4 years of starting up with Norwex one of the most stumping responses I have had to sharing with people about Norwex Microfiber Cloths and cleaning products is the phrase, ” Oh, I don’t clean my house, I have a housekeeper.” Now, I use to go, “Oh, ok.” and move on. But this past year being pregnant with twins I had the glorious opportunity of having a housekeeper twice a month. Now, my housekeepers used whatever cleaning product I had. They did not bring their own. Some do, I know. But in my experience they didn’t and so I had to teach them to use my cloths. I told them of course NO BLEACH, use water only and then showed them the Norwex Descaler and Cleaning paste to assist in getting major dirt up.
The first day they cleaned, they killed themselves for 4 hours in my little 1100 sq ft house and my house was GLEAMING. I thought, “How did they do that?” I then literally looked forward to every other Wednesday. But here’s the thing, my house did not magically stay clean the entire time between cleanings. I have 3 children and a husband. =) I still had to wash the dishes after each meal I cooked. I still had to wipe down my sink every other day when toothpaste got stuck on it, or wipe my mirror when my husband splashed water on it while doing his hair. So, even though I did not have to do the deep cleaning, I still didn’t get away from the day to day cleaning. I still used my Norwex cloths, or my toilet cleaner and I could not live without my Spirisponge that cleans every pot and pan in my kitchen. I also figured out how my housekeeper got my counter tops soooo sparkly. She used the Norwex cleaning paste and Spirisponge to polish all of my granite and glass top stove. I now do this when I’m feeling like my house isn’t sparkling like it used to.
Well, the housekeeper is gone now. I remember the day I asked her to put the keys on the table. I felt so very sad. I was going to miss her. But, it was for a time and I knew that. Now I clean my house better and use my cloths more efficiently because of the things I learned from her. So, for any of you who think that they can’t use Norwex or microfiber because you have the wonderful privilege of a housekeeper, think again.
