Well, Norwex has been in my back burner for almost a year now. I am still enjoying these products myself and assisting return clients. Today I would like to bring to your attention to hands down one of my favorite Norwex product (save the Enviro Cloth, nothing's cooler than that). It's one of the most affordable products Norwex carries, at $4.99. I always order 2 or 3 at once for myself and even give them as hostess gifts at my shows. It's called the Spirisponge. It is a sponge with the infamous silver and it never stinks and it lasts for at least a month, if not more.
I use mine daily, and I mean daily. I use it to clean my teflon pans, my stainless steel pans, I use it to clean my Le Creuset cast iron pots, and my granite countertops and best of all it's safe on my glass stove top (paired with the Cleaning Paste your granite, glass stove, stainless steel, etc will sparkle). It is also great for just hand washing with a little dish soap for those few dishes that didn't fit into the dishwasher. And when it seems dirty, you stick it in the top of your dishwasher to sanitize. I have found my Spirisponge to last between 4-8 weeks. These great little sponges can also be used in the bathroom too. I keep one up in my shower.
How many of you have a sponge that lasts more then a week? Realistically, you probably feel more comfortable using normal sponges for a few days. Then, if you use a wash cloth it smells within a day or two. The Spirisponge (and the Enviro cloths) have silver particles in them that kill bacteria within a few hours of use after rinsing. So the next time you go to use it, there is no gross bacteria hanging around.
Also, in case you are worried about allergies to silver; "The silver in Norwex is a silver particle metal. It does not contain nickle. This silver does not leach at all, and therefore does not come out of or off of the products containing it (eg toothbrush, floss, Enviro cloth 'or Spirisponge'). Silver is actually considered to be hypoallergenic. Most often, people with an allergy to silver in jewelery are actually allergic to an alloy"
