Norwexing: definition; When one cleans their home without the use of chemicals. It also refers to when one becomes fixated on getting furniture and household items cleaned, then seems to see more and more dirt. That is the verb in our house. I've been "norwexing" for 7 years. It's a term I use when my husband comes home and finds me engrossed in scrubbing our home in detail. Over my 13 year marriage it's a running joke that I am a very detailed person-I tend to get lost in the details. When it comes to housekeeping I am REALLY good at deep cleaning. So, a few years back, my husband came home and found me on my knees scrubbing the walls. I was so proud because I had cleaned every light switch, door handle, door frame, finger print and surface stain in our home, but with three young children in the house, there were a lot of toys and things strewn all over. He looked at me and said, "What are you doing?" And I replied, "I'm Norwexing!"
Since discovering Norwex Enviro Products 7 years ago, Norwex products have given me the ability to clean my home from top to bottom without so much as using anything but the Enviro cloth and water and able to remove 99.9% of bacteria. When needed I will bust out the Spirisponge and Cleaning Paste to clean my pots and pans, glass-top oven, granite counter tops or bathtub. Or pair the Enviro cloth with the Window Cloth to shine up my stainless steal and glass surfaces. I use the Sanira System to easily clean my toilets or the Sportzyme to get the stench out of my kids' shoes. I've heard friends use this term, so I don't think I coined it. But it's something we've said for awhile and I thought it was fun and wanted to share with you. So, the next time you find yourself scrubbing your home from top to bottom, and you're using Norwex cloths, you're "Norwexing".
