Smelly Chemicals

I have been using Norwex products for almost 3 years now. And I have been so impressed with how clean my home is and how easy it is to use these products. Recently, my 7 year old daughter and I discovered something that I had not noticed before. She and I were in the grocery store looking for Easy Off...my oven had dried on blueberry pie in it. It was getting so bad my oven smoked every time I used it. So we went to the store to purchase it. She and I walked down the cleaning aisle and immediately our eyes began to burn. We couldn't find the Easy Off. So, we went and asked someone and I really thought I had gotten something in my eye. We went back and again, our eyes started burning. This time it was so bad, my daughter said "Momma, I'm getting out of here". So she ran to the end of the aisle and waited for me. I covered my nose and mouth with my shirt and found the Easy Off.

Once in the car my eyes stopped burning. Then it dawned on me, that was the first time in 3 years I had shopped in that aisle (no joke). Because we had not been exposed to them for so long (even both my daughter's grandmothers use Norwex only) we have become extremely sensitive to it. You might think that's a bad thing, but I think that's a great thing. My household is so chemical free that when I just walk down that aisle in a store I am aware. Think about how much you are inhaling day to day that you don't notice because you are immune. There are many many studies proving that cleaning products are causing neurological disorders, leukemia and other diseases that were not rampid a few decades ago.

I can't seem to be able to stress enough how imperative it is for you to get chemicals out of your home. Many people use vinegar or baking soda. Great, go for it. I think Norwex is the answer, not only for the sake of getting rid of chemcials but in the long run you save money and time since they clean so much better and dirt doesn't come back like with cleaning products. From now on I'm going to be putting an oven protector on the bottom of my oven so I can stay out of the cleaning aisle.

Fundraiser

This past weekend I had a blast getting the word out on Norwex. I was part of a Women's Auxiliary fundraiser for Point Loma Nazarene University. People from all over the US came and purchased and learned about this fabulous product.

My favorite moment was a lady from West Covina,CA who just was so impressed she bought the enviro cloth, the new tea towels, and optic cloth, and a few other items. She also wanted the mop system, but when I told her she could save 35% of the mop cost by hosting a show she was all for it. So, it was great to meet new people and start new networks.

If your thinking about getting a second job this year to make some extra cash I strongly suggest becoming a Norwex consultant. Or if you're a stay at home mom and want to help out with gas money, this is by far the easiest and funnest way to do that. I gave most of my profits to the charity Saturday, and still walked away with $30 cash in my pocket and a few hopeful show opportunities. Which in turn will give me the opportunity to earn a minimum of $150 at each show.

Car Cloth

Well, this week I discovered the greatness of the car cloth. I have not really had an opportunity to use it since we do not have a garage or a place to wash our car. My father loves it and I finally discovered why. Let me first tell you quickly what it is and then what I like about it. The car cloth is the same material as the Norwex Window cloth. It is a microfiber cloth that allows you to dry windows and glass and any other shiny surface to a streak less shine. It is larger then the Window cloth. There are a few ways to use. One way is like a shami, you can dry your vehicle and at the same time shine it up. If you have a car larger then a small sedan you will probably need two. It streaks when it is too wet. But you just ring it out to keep moving. Once you've dried your car you can then go to the windows and mirrors and shine them up. It works well since the cloth is damp from drying the vehicle.

The trick I discovered this week was while I was at the park. My car wasn't filthy, but we had had a dry spell and some wind. So it was dusty and my windows had lots of grimy little finger prints from my 3 munchkins. So, I took with me to the park a squirt bottle, a norwex enviro cloth and the car cloth. First I took the enviro cloth and dusted all the windows and outside mirrors. Then I took the squirt bottle and enviro cloth and got any grime off; like bug juice and such. Then I took the squirt bottle and the car cloth and went over every window inside and out. If you are wondering why I took the time to do this, it's because we were going on a trip and I was always taught a clean car is a safe car. =)

Well, to say the least, in less then ten minutes my car looked pretty good and none of my cloths were soaking wet so I was able to set them in the trunk. It's going to become my monthly or maybe bi-monthly routine to keep me from spending too much at the car wash.

So, to recap, the car cloth can be used to dry your car and shine up your car saving you time by eliminating the step of window cleaner and paper towels. Or paired with a squirt bottle to spot clean. Again, saving time and money by not having to use a glass cleaner and paper towels or other towels that leave a film or fuzz.
